There was an upset when higher ranked Vechta-2 (5-5) was edged on the road by eleventh ranked Rist Wedel (4-7) 83-81 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech Michal Kozak (203-1998, college: Weber St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and American point guard Harrison Cleary (185-1997, college: UMC) who added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Rist Wedel players scored in double figures. Rist Wedel's coach Stephan Blode used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard JJ Culver (193-1997, college: WBU) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Leon Okpara (192-1998) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Rist Wedel moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Vechta-2 keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Wolmirstedt.
