There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Kirchheim Knights (6-7) won against at home 10th ranked Lions (6-7) 79-74 on Friday. British guard Jaydon Henry-McCalla (202-1999) stepped up and scored 29 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Richard Williams Jr (178-1987, college: SDSU) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. At the losing side center Maurice Pluskota (209-1992, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Croatian power forward Darko Bajo (205-1999, agency: BeoBasket) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Four Lions players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Lions. Lions lost their third game in a row. Kirchheim Knights will meet higher ranked Falcons (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lions will play against Schwenningen (#17) and hope to secure a win.
