Very expected game in Izmir where 13th ranked Urla (4-11) was defeated by sixth ranked Elazig Il (10-5) 71-55 on Saturday. Elazig Il outrebounded Urla 42-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American center Channon Fluker (193-1997, college: CSUN) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Point guard Oyku Taskin (172-2000) helped adding 9 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was point guard Revaziye Donmez (-1988) with 13 points and 6 assists and guard Tugce Kanat (173-1985) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Urla players scored in double figures. Elazig Il moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kirklareli. Loser Urla keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Yalova Vip and Emlak 2. Elazig Il will meet Antalya (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
