Important game to mention about took place in Balikesir. Seventh ranked Sigortam.net (7-5) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Final Spor (7-5) 85-83 in the fight for the fifth place. Sigortam.net dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Final Spor's 32. They outrebounded Final Spor 48-30 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sigortam.net players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. The winners were led by American center Eric Buckner (208-1990, college: Georgia St.) who scored that evening 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Gokhan Yazicioglu (200-1990) supported him with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Even 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by American LaceDarius Dunn (193-1987, college: Baylor) did not help to save the game for Final Spor. Guard Omer Sancakli (195-1992) added 13 points. Four Sigortam.net and five Final Spor players scored in double figures. Final Spor's coach Berat Gok rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sigortam.net moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Final Spor. Sigortam.net will play against higher ranked Samsunspor (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Final Spor will play against Antalya and hopes to get back on the winning track.
