Regular Season Round 12: Fenerbahce - Anadolu Efes 93-90

Important game to mention about took place in Istanbul. Second ranked Fenerbahce (10-2) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th ranked Efes (8-4) 93-90 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Efes. Efes was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Canadian forward Dyshawn Pierre (198-1993, college: Dayton, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 9 rebounds. American center Johnathan Motley (208-1995, college: Baylor) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Fenerbahce's coach Dimitris Itoudis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Will Clyburn (201-1990, college: Iowa St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) and Armenian-American center Bryant Dunston (203-1986) added 19 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Efes. Defending champion used an opportunity after Turk Telekom lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Efes at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Fenerbahce will play against Socar Petkim (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Efes will play against Gaziantep (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
