Regular Season Round 14: Trier - Tuebingen 84-77

The most important game in the last round took place in Trier between second ranked Tigers (11-3) and tenth ranked Gladiators (7-7) on Monday night. Tigers were defeated by Gladiators in a tough game on the road 77-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tigers. Gladiators shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. American forward Travis Daniels (203-1992, college: MSU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Garai Zeeb (187-1997) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Gladiators players scored in double figures. American Zac Seljaas (203-1997, college: BYU) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-1999) added 21 points in the effort for Tigers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gladiators have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Tigers at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. Gladiators is looking forward to face Schwenningen (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tigers will have a break next round.
