Regular Season Round 12: Pinar Karsiyaka - Gaziantep 96-91

Everything went according to plan in Izmir where third ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (9-3) won against 12th ranked Gaziantep (4-8) 96-91 on Tuesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Errick McCollum (188-1988, college: Goshen) who helped to win the game recording 43 points (!!!) and 6 assists and the former international point guard Kenan Sipahi (197-1995, agency: BeoBasket) who added 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Damyean Dotson (196-1994, college: Houston) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (191-1994, college: Wake Forest) scored 29 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Pinar Karsiyaka have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-3 record behind leader Turk Telekom. Loser Gaziantep keeps the twelfth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Buyukcekmece and Konyaspor. Pinar Karsiyaka will meet Acibadem (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Gaziantep will play against Efes in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
