Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Alexandria (2-7) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Targu Secuiesc (6-4) 74-65. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Targu Secuiesc players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by forward Boglarka Biszak (175-1999) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian point guard Ines Corda (169-1995) supported her with 21 points. Even 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists by Bulgarian forward Anna-Mariya Kolyandrova (165-1997) did not help to save the game for Alexandria. Bulgarian center Aleksandra Petrova (187-1997, agency: BIG) added 15 points and 8 rebounds. Alexandria's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Targu Secuiesc moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Rapid. Alexandria lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Targu Secuiesc will play against higher ranked Constanta (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Alexandria will play against Rapid (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
