Targoviste has finally registered their first victory this season after nine consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Cluj Napoca (3-7) 71-54. The game was mostly controlled by Targoviste. Cluj Napoca was better in second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by the former international guard Ancuta Stoenescu (175-1980) who scored that evening 24 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international swingman Alina Chivu (175-1990) supported her with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Tanesha Sutton (178-1995, college: Maine) did not help to save the game for Cluj Napoca.
