Bottom-ranked Manisa managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses on Friday night. This time newly promoted Manisa won against thirteenth-ranked Buyukcekmece 78-69. Manisa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Mexican guard Francisco Cruz (191-1989, college: Wyoming) nailed 26 points and 8 assists for the winning side and American Evan Bruinsma (202-1992, college: Detroit, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Briante Weber (188-1992, college: VCU) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Can Mutaf (190-1991) added 14 points respectively for Buyukcekmece in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Manisa (3-10) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Besiktas. Loser Buyukcekmece keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Gaziantep. Manisa will meet at home higher ranked Konyaspor (#11) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Buyukcekmece will play against Pinar Karsiyaka having rather not much hope for a victory.
