BasketLigaen top team - Naestved (13-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixth ranked BAC (6-8) in Aarhus 91-70. Naestved forced 22 BAC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American guard Mike McGuirl (189-1998, college: Kansas St.) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and the other American import guard Rodney Chatman (189-1998, college: Vanderbilt) supported him with 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Even 13 points by forward Gustav Johansen (197-2000) did not help to save the game for BAC. Forward Marcus Vinther (195-2002) added 9 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. BAC's coach Thomas Hemmingsen gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Naestved have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-2 record. Loser BAC keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Svendborg. Naestved will meet at home Horsens IC (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BAC will play against the league's second-placed Randers and hope to secure a win.
