Regular Season Round 13: Haremspor - Cagdas BS 79-97

Leader Cagdas BS delivered the twelfth victory. This time they beat 10th ranked Haremspor (5-8) 97-79 in Istanbul. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Haremspor. Cagdas BS shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Chris Warren (177-1988, college: Ole Miss) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 assists. Hakan Yapar (202-1984) contributed with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Cagdas BS's coach Ali Aydanarig allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Donte Clark (194-1994, college: Texas Southern) answered with 26 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Utku Saraloglu (188-1996) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Haremspor. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cagdas BS (12-1) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Newly promoted Cagdas BS maintains first place, which they share with Mersin. Haremspor at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with OGM Orman and Mamak. Cagdas BS will play against league's second-placed Mersin at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Haremspor will play against Gemlik (#16) in Bursa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
