The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rasta Vechta (13-2) on the court of twelfth ranked Kirchheim Knights on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Kirchheim Knights 93-87. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Rasta Vechta. 24 personal fouls committed by Rasta Vechta helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American center Tyrone Nash (203-1988, college: Notre Dame) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import point guard Richard Williams Jr (178-1987, college: SDSU) helped adding 16 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Joschka Ferner (202-1996) with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Ryan Schwieger (198-1999, college: Loyola, IL) scored 16 points. Five Kirchheim Knights and four Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kirchheim Knights have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Trier and Karlsruhe PS. Rasta Vechta at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Kirchheim Knights is looking forward to face Schwenningen (#17) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rasta Vechta will play against the league's second-placed Tigers (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
