The game in Esgueira was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Ovarense (10-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Esgueira (7-9). Ovarense did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-70 on Wednesday. The winners were led by American guard Jordan Robertson (190-1996, college: Colgate, agency: Green Sports Management) who scored that evening 21 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Davell Roby (195-1996, college: St.Louis) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Robertson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ovarense players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) by American forward Ryan Ogden (193-1996, college: Southwestern) did not help to save the game for Esgueira. American-Canadian Alexander Kappos (208-1997, college: Dalhousie) added 17 points and 4 blocks for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ovarense maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. Newly promoted Esgueira keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Vitoria SC. Ovarense will meet at home league's second-placed Benfica in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Esgueira will play against Sporting (#3) in Lisbon and hope to secure a win.
