Regular Season Round 15: Eisenstadt - Vienna 71-103
Date: January 6, 2023
Leader BC Vienna delivered the thirteenth victory on Friday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Nord Dragonz (3-11) 103-71 in Eisenstadt. The game was mostly controlled by BC Vienna. Nord Dragonz managed to win fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Vienna looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Jozo Rados (206-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Croatian forward Ivan Siriscevic (197-1987, agency: PEPI SPORT) helped adding 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four BC Vienna players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Nick Allen (203-1997, college: UTSA) with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Kyran McClure (188-1996, college: St.Leo) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Nord Dragonz lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Timberwolves. BC Vienna will meet at home UBSC Graz (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nord Dragonz will play against UBC St. Poelten (#6) and hope to secure a win.
