Regular Season Round 15: Lietkabelis - Jonava 86-84

The most exciting game of round 15 in the LKL took place in Panevezys. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Jonava (8-6) to fourth ranked Lietkabelis (10-5) 86-84 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was forward Gabas Maldunas (205-1993, college: Dartmouth) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Estonian point guard Kristian Kullamaee (194-1999) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Lietkabelis' coach Nenad Canak used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jeff Garrett (201-1994, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Glynn Watson Jr. (185-1997, college: Nebraska) added 20 points respectively. Lietkabelis maintains fourth place with 10-5 record, which they share with Wolves. Jonava lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Lietkabelis is looking forward to face Neptunas (#8) in Klaipeda in the next round. Jonava will play on the road against Gargzdu in Gargzdai and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
