Bottom-ranked Vienna United (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to third ranked DBBC Graz (6-2) 106-64 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. DBBC Graz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Vienna United's 34. DBBC Graz forced 27 Vienna United turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Vienna United's players. The former international forward Nina Krisper (179-2001) had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ajla Meskic (183-2005) chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. DBBC Graz's coach Edvin Brkic felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Antonia Reissner (189-1999) responded with 4 points and 14 rebounds and Ukrainian guard Ninel Merkotun (-2004) scored 16 points. DBBC Graz have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader BK Duchess. Vienna United at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. DBBC Graz are looking forward to face Timberwolves (#6) in Vienna in the next round. Vienna United will play at home against DBB LZ OOE and hopes to get finally their first victory.
