There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Kangaroos (5-8) edged on the road higher ranked Schwelm (6-7) 85-84 on Saturday. American guard Michael Cubbage (193, college: SFC) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Croatian-Bosnian Marko Boksic (203-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Even 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by American CJ Oldham (202-1991, college: Gannon) did not help to save the game for Schwelm. Viktor Ziring (187-1998) added 12 points and 8 assists for the hosts. Four Schwelm players scored in double figures. Kangaroos moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Schwelm lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with TKS 49ers. Kangaroos will meet at home league's leader Sixers in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Schwelm will play against Wolmirstedt (#4) and hope to secure a win.
