Regular Season Round 12: Blackbirds - Mustangs 97-90 OT

2.Bundesliga round 12 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Mustangs (9-2) against fourth ranked Blackbirds (9-2) 97-90 in overtime was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Mustangs. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 17-15 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 7-point victory in overtime. It was a good game for Hungarian guard Mate Horvath (182-2003) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Sebastian Koch (200-1988) contributed with 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Czech guard Jan Kozina (182-1995) replied with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Czech center Zdenek Nehyba (197-1995) added 22 points in the effort for Mustangs. Four Mustangs players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Blackbirds moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Mustangs. Mustangs will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Blackbirds will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Raiders Tirol in Innsbruck.
