The game between Top Four teams took place in Porto. 4th ranked host Vasco (5-5) lost to first ranked Galomar (9-1) 81-64. Galomar dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Vasco's 30. Galomar forced 20 Vasco turnovers and outrebounded them 52-21 including a 21-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized Mozambican power forward Geremias Manjate (203-1998) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard DeAndre Jones (180-1998, college: St.Louis) supported him with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Four Galomar players scored in double figures. Galomar's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. His fellow American import center Jaja Davis (196, college: Montreat) added 8 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Galomar have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Vasco lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Barreirense. Galomar will play against league's second-placed Illiabum in Ilhavo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vasco will play on the road against Maia Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
