An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Cluj Napoca. First ranked Cluj Napoca faced 4th ranked Ploiesti CSM. Host Cluj Napoca (12-1) defeated guests from Ploiesti (8-5) 85-72. It looked good early as Ploiesti CSM took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Cluj Napoca had a 16-9 second period charge getting the lead and Ploiesti CSM was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-85. Cluj Napoca forced 20 Ploiesti CSM turnovers. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-1 record. Ploiesti CSM at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Cluj Napoca will play against Targu Jiu (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ploiesti CSM will play against Pitesti (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
