Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul: Fenerbahce (#1) and Dacka (#6). Fenerbahce (12-2) won against visiting Dacka (7-7) 95-82. Fenerbahce forced 19 Dacka turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Greek-American point guard Nick Calathes (196-1989, college: Florida) notched 10 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and American forward Nigel Hayes-Davis (203-1994, college: Wisconsin) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Even 21 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by point guard Can Korkmaz (187-1992, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Dacka. The former international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-1996) added 16 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-2 record. Dacka at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Fenerbahce will play against Bursaspor (#4) on the road in the next round. Dacka will play against Gaziantep and hopes to get back on the winning track.
