We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Turk Telekom (4-8) edged 8th ranked Petkim Spor (4-8) in Izmir 76-75 on Saturday. Turk Telekom forced 20 Petkim Spor turnovers. The winners were led by Erim Lif (-2005) who scored that evening 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Arda Ozdogan (202-2005) supported him with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Turk Telekom's coach Murat Oney used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds by Kerem Durmaz (-2004) did not help to save the game for Petkim Spor. Yigit Kaba (-2006) added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Petkim Spor players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Buyukcekmece and Aliaga Petkim. Petkim Spor lost third consecutive game. Turk Telekom will meet at home higher ranked Bursaspor (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Petkim Spor will play against Selcuklu (#10) and hope to secure a win.
