Very expected game when 12th ranked Sangalhos (1-14) were defeated at home by eighth ranked Imortal (7-9) 78-67 on Saturday. Imortal outrebounded Sangalhos 47-18 including a 26-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Josh Ferguson (203-1996, college: Winthrop) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. American-Nigerian guard Tobi Ewuosho (196-1997, college: Alabama St., agency: Helping Ballers) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Dutch-Angolan point guard Jose Maconda (187-2001) produced 14 points and 8 assists and Angolan point guard Cleuzio Castro (180-1997) added 18 points and 5 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Four Sangalhos players scored in double figures. Imortal moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted Sangalhos stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Imortal will meet at home CAB Madeira (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sangalhos will play against Oliveirense in Oliveira and hope to win that game.
