Everything went according to plan in Lisbon where fourth ranked Barreirense (5-5) beat 8th ranked Benfica B (3-8) 85-70 on Sunday. American forward Micah Downs (203-1986, college: Gonzaga) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import guard Marquavian Stephens (190, college: Saskatchewan) chipped in 27 points and 7 assists. Serbian center Ivan Pavicevic (206-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and center Eduardo Francisco (-2003) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Benfica B's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Barreirense maintains fourth position with 5-5 record, which they share with Vasco. Benfica B lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Barreirense's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barreiro Galitos-Barreiro.
