Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked KOS (7-5) edged 10th ranked Rocks (4-8) in Mattersburg 98-97 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 34-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by Slovenian point guard Grega Sajevic (187-1996) who scored that evening 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Montenegrin-Kosovan center Andi Shehu (200-1997) supported him with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Canadian center Corey Hallett (210-1984, college: Monmouth) did not help to save the game for Rocks. French Joris Ortega (188-1993, agency: Interperformances) added 24 points and 4 assists. Five KOS and four Rocks players scored in double figures. KOS have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Piraten and UDW Alligators. Loser Rocks keep the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Towers. KOS will meet at home higher ranked Blackbirds (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rocks will have a break next round.
