Regular Season Round 17: Holbaek - Amager 71-65

Bottom-ranked Holbaek managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time newly promoted Holbaek won against tenth-ranked Amager 71-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Amager. The best player for the winners was American forward Eysan Wiley (195-1999, college: UT Tyler) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Rasmus Moller (202-2002) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Oscar Quackenbush (188-1999) produced 30 points and 6 rebounds and forward Tomas Bjarkason (204-1999, college: Lewis) added 4 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Holbaek maintains eleventh place with 2-13 record. Loser Amager keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. Holbaek will meet higher ranked Horsens IC (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Amager will play against Herlev (#5) and hope to secure a win.
