Regular Season Round 13: Rilski - Chernomorets 102-69

NBL top team - Rilski (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Chernomorets (5-8) in Samokov 102-69. Rilski players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Chernomorets' players. Guard Vasil Popov (198-2002) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and the former international Chavdar Kostov (196-1988, agency: BIG) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Rilski's coach Ludmil Hadjisotirov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Georgi Boyanov (201-1993, college: USA) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Canadian point guard Munis Tutu (184-1996, college: Carleton) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rilski have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Chernomorets at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Rilski will play against CSKA (#5) in Sofia in the next round. Chernomorets will play at home against Spartak Pleven and hopes to get back on the winning track.
