Regular Season Round 25: Vytis - Rytas 2 75-76

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Rytas 2 (8-17) edged 4th placed Vytis (15-9) in Sakiai 76-75 on Thursday. Gediminas Alisas (196-2004) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Greek Andreas Kalogiros (198-2002) accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Rytas 2's coach Andrius Slezas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Eimantas Zilius (201-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Titas Janusevicius (188-2001) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Vytis in the defeat. Five Rytas 2 and four Vytis players scored in double figures. Rytas 2 maintains thirteenth place with 8-17 record. Loser Vytis keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Rytas 2 will meet at home league's leader Suduva-Mantinga in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vytis will play against Kretinga and hope to secure a win.
