Rather expected game in Istanbul where 11th ranked Tofas (6-9) was defeated by ninth ranked Acibadem (8-7) 89-84 on Saturday. It was a great evening for international swingman Yigit Arslan (198-1996) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. American guard Jamar Smith (191-1987, college: S.Indiana, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 13 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Boubacar Toure (213-1995, college: EMU) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and Canadian point guard Tyler Ennis (188-1994, college: Syracuse) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Acibadem and four Tofas players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Acibadem have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Darussafaka. Tofas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Konyaspor. Acibadem's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Fenerbahce.
