Regular Season Round 15: Braunschweig - Bamberg 83-85

Eighteenth-ranked Braunschweig (2-13) used its home court advantage to challenge twelfth ranked Brose Bamberg (7-8) on Saturday. The visitors from Bamberg managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected much easier game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Patrick Miller (185-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: Slash Sports) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Czech Jaromir Bohacik (198-1992) accounted for 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. The former international David Kramer (198-1997) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Braydon Hobbs (196-1989, college: Bellarmine) added 17 points and 8 assists respectively for Braunschweig in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Brose Bamberg. They moved-up to ninth place. Braunschweig lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Brose Bamberg will meet at home higher ranked Bayern Muenchen (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Braunschweig will play against Hamburg Towers (#13) and hope to secure a win.
