Very important is a road loss of third ranked Deisenhofen (9-5) against eleventh ranked OrangeAcademy (5-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Deisenhofen was defeated by OrangeAcademy in a tough game in Ulm 80-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Deisenhofen. OrangeAcademy forced 20 Deisenhofen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Austrian David Fuchs (203-2003) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Latrell Grosskopf (200-2001) accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Naturalized American Omari Knox (185-1986, college: Bloomfield) came up with 25 points and Fynn Fischer (208-1999) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Deisenhofen in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. OrangeAcademy moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Deisenhofen keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. OrangeAcademy will meet higher ranked Kangaroos (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Deisenhofen will play against the league's leader White Wings (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
