Regular Season Round 16: Juventus - Wolves 81-86

The most important game in the last round took place in Utena between third ranked Juventus (11-5) and fourth ranked Wolves (11-5) on Sunday night. Juventus was defeated by Wolves in a tough game at home 81-86. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Juventus. Worth to mention a great performance of Arnas Berucka (196-1997) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 assists. Swedish-American forward Jeffery Taylor (201-1989, college: Vanderbilt) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Wolves players scored in double figures. American forward Justin Alston (203-1994, college: Boston U.) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import point guard Alex Hamilton (193-1993, college: Louisiana Tech) added 7 points and 4 assists in the effort for Juventus. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wolves moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Juventus. Wolves is looking forward to face Nevezis (#9) in Kedainiai in the next round where they are favorite. Juventus will play on the road against Siauliai (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
