Regular Season Round 16: BSW Sixers - Wolmirstedt 70-69

Third-ranked Wolmirstedt (9-6) gave a tough game to first ranked Sixers (13-2) in Sandersdorf on Saturday. Sixers managed to secure only one-point victory 70-69. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Wolmirstedt. Sixers forced 19 Wolmirstedt turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Wolmirstedt helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Donte Nicholas (196-1987, college: FPU) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian point guard Aleksa Kovacevic (187-2002) who added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American Jordan Talbert (198-1991, college: MSSU) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Maximilian Begue (192-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Wolmirstedt players scored in double figures. Sixers have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-2 record. Wolmirstedt at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Rhoendorf and Oberhaching. Sixers are looking forward to face Herford (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Wolmirstedt will play against TKS 49ers (#8) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
