There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Schwelm (7-8) edged at home higher ranked RheinStars (8-7) 80-78 on Saturday. Schwelm made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Marius Behr (201-1997) fired 28 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American CJ Oldham (202-1991, college: Gannon) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian point guard Ali Sow (185-1998, college: Laurier) produced 31 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Jannis Von Seckendorff (204-2002) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four RheinStars players scored in double figures. RheinStars' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Schwelm moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Speyer. Loser RheinStars keep the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Itzehoe and Frankfurt Jrs. Schwelm will meet Vechta-2 (#7) on the road in the next round. RheinStars will have a break next round.
