Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Skyliners (4-12) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Chemnitz (9-5) 89-76 on Saturday. Chemnitz made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Lithuanian Mindaugas Susinskas (204-1995) fired 22 points for the winners. Power forward Jonas Richter (206-1997) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Chemnitz's coach Rodrigo Pastore used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Isaiah Washington (185-1998, college: LBSU, agency: Players Group) produced 27 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and Lithuanian Laurynas Beliauskas (193-1997) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Chemnitz have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Goettingen. Loser Skyliners keep the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. Chemnitz will meet Braunschweig (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Skyliners will play against Hamburg Towers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
