Bottom-ranked Braunschweig managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked Hamburg Towers 92-83. Point guard Kendale McCullum (184-1996, college: Lewis) produced 26 points and 4 assists and James Woodard (191-1994, college: Tulsa) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Braunschweig (4-13) moved-up to seventeenth place. Hamburg Towers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Braunschweig will meet at home higher ranked Chemnitz (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hamburg Towers will play against Skyliners (#16) in Frankfurt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
