Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Braunschweig (4-13) moved-up to seventeenth place. Hamburg Towers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Braunschweig will meet at home higher ranked Chemnitz (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hamburg Towers will play against Skyliners (#16) in Frankfurt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
