Regular Season Round 18: Kirchheim - Dresden 95-92

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Kirchheim Knights (9-9) edged at home higher ranked Titans (11-7) 95-92 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Jonas Niedermanner (205-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Michael Flowers (185-1999, college: WSU) chipped in 26 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Five Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian Tanner Graham (200-1996, college: Queen's) who recorded 30 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and guard Daniel Kirchner (187-1997) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Paderborn and Karlsruhe PS. Newly promoted Titans dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Artland and Hagen. Kirchheim Knights will meet league's leader Rasta Vechta on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Titans will play against Gladiators and hope to secure a win.
