Regular Season Round 8: KIVS SBK - Blyskavky 66-73

There was no surprise in Lviv where 6th ranked KIVS SBK (2-6) was defeated by fourth ranked Blyskavky (5-5) 73-66 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KIVS SBK won third quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Blyskavky won last quarter 14-9. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Victoria Ogiy (170-1995) who helped to win the game recording 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Iryna Zhmurko (185-1996) who added 15 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Swingman Katerina Shtyk (175-2003) responded with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Elizaveta Vodovoz (174-2003) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. KIVS SBK's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Blyskavky moved-up to third place. KIVS SBK at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Blyskavky will meet at home Interkhim (#4) in the next round. KIVS SBK will play against Rivne-SDYUSHOR and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
