There was no surprise when 8th ranked Miercurea Ciuc (2-13) was crushed at home by second ranked Cluj Napoca (14-1) 94-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Cluj Napoca. Miercurea Ciuc managed to win third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cluj Napoca dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Miercurea Ciuc's 30. Cluj Napoca forced 26 Miercurea Ciuc turnovers.
