There was a minor upset in Bucuresti where 3rd placed Dinamo B. (8-7) was edged by sixth ranked Steaua B. (7-8) 82-81 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-9. But Dinamo B. won second period 26-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-1996) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 assists for the winners and Serbian forward Zarko Djuric (198-1989) chipped in 24 points.
