We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Dukes (9-8) were rolled over on the road by seventh ranked UBSC Graz (8-9) 95-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by UBSC Graz. Dukes managed to win fourth quarter 26-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UBSC Graz shot 62.7 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Zach Cooks (175, college: Hofstra) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Issac Vann (198-1995, college: VCU) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. Five UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. American Kevin Bracy-Davis (202-1995, college: Davis & Elkins) produced 28 points and the former international guard Valentin Bauer (183-1994, college: Mars Hill) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UBSC Graz maintains seventh place with 8-9 record. Loser Dukes keep the sixth position with eight games lost. UBSC Graz will meet higher ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dukes will play against Gunners Oberwart and hope to secure a win.
