Regular Season Round 18: Trier - Muenster 79-81

There was an upset in Trier where higher ranked Gladiators (9-10) were edged by twelfth ranked Muenster (8-10) 81-79 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was the former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Icelandic guard Hilmar Petursson (190-2000, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was center Till Isemann (209-1996) who recorded 18 points and American center Dylan Painter (208-1998, college: Delaware) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Muenster maintains twelfth position with 8-10 record. Gladiators lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with ten games lost. Muenster will meet Science City Jena (#14) on the road in the next round. Gladiators will play against Titans in Dresden and hope to secure a win.
