Regular Season Round 15: Pinar Karsiyaka - Turk Telekom 73-75

The most exciting game of round 15 in the U19 League took place in Izmir. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed Pinar Karsiyaka (8-7) to sixth ranked Turk Telekom (7-8) 75-73 on Wednesday evening. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Baran Bas (-2005) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Yagiz Cetinbas (-2006) chipped in 11 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Emir Bugay (-2005) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Ilkay Cevizci (-2005) added 20 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Turk Telekom have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with TED Ankara. Pinar Karsiyaka lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Bursaspor. Turk Telekom is looking forward to face league's leader Anadolu Efes in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pinar Karsiyaka will play at home against Tesvikiye and is hoping to win this game.
