No shocking result in a game when third ranked Mustangs (10-4) crushed 7th ranked Alligators (9-6) in Mistelbach 83-55 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-55. Mustangs dominated on the defensive end, holding Alligators to just 6 points in second quarter. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Mustangs forced 22 Alligators turnovers. Czech center Michal Norwa (198-1983) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and Czech center Zdenek Nehyba (197-1995) supported him with 19 points. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by guard Simon Marek (180-2001) did not help to save the game for Alligators. Forward Luiso God (200-2003) added 18 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Mustangs went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Alligators dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with KOS. Mustangs will meet Future Team (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alligators will play against BBU (#3) in Salzburg and hope to secure a win.
