Regular Season Round 19: Bochum - Paderborn 94-69

There was a surprise result in Bochum where fifteenth ranked SparkassenStars (7-12) smashed higher ranked Uni Baskets (9-10) 94-69 on Saturday. SparkassenStars forced 24 Uni Baskets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American guard TJ Crockett (185-1999, college: Lindenwood) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import point guard Jalen Bradley (185-1993, college: ORU) helped adding 16 points and 5 steals. Four SparkassenStars players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Travis Jocelyn (199-1999, college: TCNJ) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Marten Linssen (203-1998, college: St.Louis) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SparkassenStars maintains fifteenth place with 7-12 record. Uni Baskets lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Kirchheim. SparkassenStars will meet bottom-ranked Schwenningen (#18) on the road in the next round. Uni Baskets will play against Falcons (#6) and hope to secure a win.
