A very close game took place in Rostock between Seawolves and MBC. Twelfth ranked Seawolves (7-9) got a very close home victory over 13th ranked MBC (6-10). Seawolves managed to escape with a 2-point win 79-77 on Saturday evening. American Derrick Alston Jr (206-1997, college: Boise St.) stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard JeQuan Lewis (185-1994, college: VCU, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Seawolves players scored in double figures. Seawolves' coach Christian Held used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Mitchell Ballock (196-1998, college: Creighton) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Kostja Mushidi (195-1998) scored 19 points. Seawolves moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Crailsheim. MBC lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Heidelberg. Seawolves will meet Hamburg Towers (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. MBC will play against the league's leader ALBA Berlin and will have a slim chance for a victory.
