Regular Season Round 19: Hagen - Artland 85-88

The most exciting game of round 19 in the ProA took place in Hagen. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Phoenix Hagen (11-8) to fourth ranked Artland Dragons (13-7) 88-85 on Saturday evening. American guard William Christmas (196-1996, college: CPP) fired 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Jannes Hundt (182-1996) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Marvin Omuvwie (195-1997) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Bjarne Kraushaar (190-1999) added 15 points and 10 assists respectively for lost side. Five Artland Dragons and four Phoenix Hagen players scored in double figures. Artland Dragons have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Phoenix Hagen at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Dresden and Nuernberg. Artland Dragons are looking forward to face league's second-placed Tigers in Tuebingen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Phoenix Hagen will play on the road against Muenster and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
