Very important is a home loss of second ranked Tigers (14-5) against fourteenth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (8-11) on Saturday night. Host Tigers were defeated by Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in Tuebingen 80-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tigers. They outrebounded Tigers 44-23 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Robert Oehle (209-1988) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. New Zealand forward Matt Freeman (207-1997, college: UCSB) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American Zac Seljaas (203-1997, college: BYU) answered with 28 points (made all of his seven free throws) and center Daniel Keppeler (205-1997, college: Regnitztal) added 12 points in the effort for Tigers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Muenster. Tigers at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will play against Leverkusen (#17) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tigers will play against Artland Dragons (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
