Regular Season Round 17: Bernau - Giessen 102-64

No shocking result in a game when second ranked SSV Lok Bernau (13-2) smashed at home 13th ranked Giessen Pointers (1-14) 102-64 on Saturday. SSV Lok Bernau forced 26 Giessen Pointers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Isiah Small (202-1998, college: Texas St.) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and center Akim-Jamal Jonah (210-1998, college: San Diego) chipped in 18 points. SSV Lok Bernau's coach Davide Botinelli felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Benjamin Lischka (204-1989, agency: LUMANI 10.7) responded with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Jacob Ledoux (190-1997, college: UTPB) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for SSV Lok Bernau. They maintain second place with 13-2 record having four points less than leader BSW Sixers. Giessen Pointers lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. SSV Lok Bernau will meet Schwelm (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Giessen Pointers will play against Wolmirstedt (#3) and hope to win that game.
